Hastings resident, Francis A. True, 74 of 1335 West 4th, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Saturday, March17, 2007, at 10 AM at the All Saints Chapel, Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, NE. Burial will be in the Blue Valley Cemetery,with military rites, near Ayr, NE. Visitation will be Friday, March 16, 2007 from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.brandwilson.com. Mr. True was born December 29, 1932, to William and Elsie (Allender) True in Hastings, NE. He grew up in Hastings. He graduated from Hastings Senior High in 1952. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict from February 26, 1953 to February 25, 1955. He married Julia Shutt, September 19, 1954; she died April 30, 1992. In 1961 they moved to Ayr. In 1992 Francis moved to Republican City then he moved back to Hastings in 1999. He worked for Modern Linen, Hastings Industries, the Adams County Department of Roads, Kansas Nebraska Pipeline and L. S. Webb Construction Company. He was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church, the VFW, the American Legion and the Eagles Aerie #592 all of Hastings, NE. He is survived by 2 daughters, Rebecca Kramp and husband Howard, of Superior, NE, and Laurie Platt of David City, NE, 1 son, William Bill True and wife Barbara, of Hastings, NE, 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Wauneta Standerd and husband Jerry, of Manley, NE, and Rosalene Boehler and husband Lawrence of Sutton, NE and 1 brother Chester True and wife Verlene of Hastings, NE. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 1 sister, Charlotte Bierman. Memorials may be given to the Mary Lanning Home Health Care.
