Campbell resident Franklin Dewey Street, 72, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Mary Lanning Memorial Health Care

Memorial service will be Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 10 am at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings with Pastor C.L. Wimer officiating with military rites at the chapel. There will be no visitation, Franklins wishes were to be cremated. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements.

Franklin was born May 20, 1942 to Merle and Mildred (Smith) Street in Omaha, NE. He graduated from the Gretna High School in 1960. He served in the United States military from 1960 to 1964. He married Diane Loyd on December 24, 1988 in Blontville, TN.

Franklin was an over the road truck driver from 1965 until 1993 when he became disabled.

He is survived by his wife Diane of Campbell, Step daughter Deborah Street-friend Dan Blakely, Step son DeLor R and wife Amanda Tilden, 5 grandchildren

1 great grandchild, numerous adopted children and numerous nieces and nephews, three sisters, Merlann Gusman Rogers of Arkansas, Carole Probst Grand Island, Hazel and husband Gene Stickney, and one sister in law, Linda Street of Yutan.

He was proceded in death by his parents, one brother Danny Street and two grandchildren Jessica Dyess and Kaleb Dyess.
