(At Our Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard Location.) Harvard resident, Fredrick Joseph Schulte, 83 died Friday, November 17, 2006 at the Harvard Rest Home, Harvard, NE. Rosary will be Monday, November 20, 2006 at 8 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE. Services will be Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the St. Josephs Catholic Church, in Harvard, NE, with Father James Benton officiating. Burial at the Harvard Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2006 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, and up till service time at the church. Mr. Schulte was born January 14, 1923 to Casper and Lucy (Pietz) Schulte in Wynot, NE. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific. He married Bessie Rose on December 31, 1949. He worked as a mechanic until they moved to Harvard, in 1951. They owned and operated the Schulte Rest Home for 21 years. He was a talented carpenter during this time and several years after. He was a devoted member of St. Josephs Catholic Church since his moving to Harvard in 1951. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Bess, of Harvard, 4 sons, Terry and wife Trish of Sioux Falls, SD, Richard and wife Deborah of Phoenix, AZ, Randy and wife Jodi of Harvard, NE, and John and Kathleen of Omaha, NE. 8 grandchildren, Mike and Kaitlyn Schulte, Lisa Bruggeman, Stephanie Barry, Jennifer Dubas, Jill Kort, Jami Doele and Emily Schulte and 11 great grandchildren 1 sister, Mary Ann Blatshford of York, NE, and 1 brother, Gilbert of Dakota City, IA. He was preceded in death by, his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and several nephews and nieces. Memorials may be given to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church or Harvard Rest Haven. All of Freds family and many dear friends will always remember and cherish the many memories of him.
