Fredrick R Weavers

Fredrick R. Weavers, 78, of Doniphan, Nebraska died May 6, 2019 at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, May 11th at Rosedale Methodist Church with Reverend Tessa Zehring officiating. Interment will be in the Doniphan Cemetery with a luncheon to follow back at the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on May 10th at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Fred was born on May 28, 1940 to Howard and Twyla (Main) Weavers at the family home in Doniphan. Graduating from Doniphan High School. He entered the Army in the June of 1960 and was honorably discharged in March of 1963.

Fred was united in marriage to Judy Boland from 1968 to 1975. He was life partners with Carole Fry for the past 23 years. Fred drove truck for many years and retired from Sunrise Express.

Fred was a member of the Eagles Club in Hastings. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying. A few other things that he enjoyed were fishing and playing cards.

Survivors include his life partner, Carole Fry; sons, Jeff (Tricia) Weavers and Mark (Stephanie Guthrie) Fry; stepdaughter, Mischelle (David) Weaver; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Marcia) Weavers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Twyla; sister, Elaine Goldenstein; and granddaughters, Chloe and Zoey Weavers.
