Former Prosser resident, Glen A. Roberts, 91, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village Services will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10 am at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with Rev. Tony Dawson officiating. Burial will be in the Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, NE. Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2012 from 9 am to 9 pm with the family present from 5pm to 7 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the family. Glen was born on June 24, 1920 to Arthur and Mary (Brunt) Roberts on a farm near Prosser, NE. He graduated from Rosedale High School in 1937. He married Detta May Banister on June 20, 1943; she passed away September 29, 1990. Glen was a lifelong farmer, did construction work and was a house mover. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and was a ham radio operator. He was a member of the White Spot Motorcycle Club where he performed stunts on his motorcycle. His love in life was flying his airplane and riding his 1942 Harley Motorcycle. As he got older his grandchildren became the center of his life. He is survived by two sons, Joe and wife Bonnie and Corey and wife Beverly all of Hastings, NE, seven grandchildren, Trevor Roberts, Raylynn Thomas,Kira, Krystan and Michael Darling and Rachel and Jonathan Roberts, eight great grandchildren, Quinten, Casandra, Isabella, Colton, Noah, Ethan, Ember and Ashlynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Delta May and three sisters and one brother.
