Hastings resident, Glen W. Lowrey, 90 died Monday, May 28, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings, NE. Services will be Monday, June 4, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Brand-Wilson Chapel, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2007 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service and up till service time at the chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mr. Lowrey was born, January 7, 1917, to Walter E. and Edna Mae (Schreiner) Lowrey in Otoe, NE. He was in the Army from August 1936 to 1940, and then February 3, 1942 to January 14, 1946 serving during WWII. He graduated from University of Nebraska at Lincoln, NE; in 1950. He married Ariel Wheeler, on January 13, 1940. He has lived in the Hastings area since 1961. He was an Agronomist for Farmland Industries for 24 years. He was the business manager for the Hastings Nitrogen Plant. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hastings, NE and the Masonic Lodge #288 in Omaha, NE. He is survived by his wife Ariel of Hastings, NE, and son, Gerald Lowrey of Georgetown, TX, 3 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 1 daughter, Marilyn, and 2 infant children and 2 sisters. Memorials may be given to Childrens Hospital Foundation.
