Hastings resident, Gwen Lee (Kennedy) Lamborn 77, of 1927 West 12th, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings, NE. Graveside service will be Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 11 AM at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. with Pastor Steve Markle officiating. The body was cremated. Book signing will be Friday, April 6, 2007 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mrs. Lamborn was born, May 7, 1929 to Roy and Opal (Kingrey) Kennedy in Hastings, NE. She attended schools in the Hastings area. She married Donald E. Lamborn of August 1, 1946 in Norton, Kansas; he died September 28, 2001. She worked as a cook then later in life cleaned houses. She is survived by 4 daughters, Alice Robinson, Mary Stutzman and Cheryl Stutzman all of Hastings, NE and Sharon Phinney of Juniata, NE, 1 son, Donald L. of Juniata, NE, 2 sisters, Dorothy Cline of Hastings, NE, and Linda Roth of Lincoln, NE, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, 5 brothers, Bob, Norm, Tim and Milton Kennedy, all of Hastings, NE, and Dean Kennedy of Deweese, NE. She was preceded in death by, her parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 1 daughter. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
