Gwyer H. Grimminger, 88, of Grand Island, NE died on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Cedars at Broadwell.

He was born on May 10, 1936 in Grand Island, NE to Harry and Iola (Hansen) Grimminger. He grew up in Grand Island and received his education at Grand Island Senior High. Graduating with the Class of 1954. He entered the US Marine Corp on January 5, 1956 and served until he was honorably discharged on December 17, 1958. He then went to law school and became an attorney in the State of Nebraska on June 24, 1966.
He was united in marriage to Joyce (Happold/Sims) on July 3, 1991 and spent their life together on the farm by Chapman. He was a long-time attorney in Grand Island.
He was a member of the American Legion, and the NRA. He will be remembered for his sayings: “What’s your front name?”, “Taker slow”, and Semper FI (always remain faithful).
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Jennifer (Craig) Boehlke of Goddard, Kansas, Ann (Vern) Muhlbach of Cedar Rapids Iowa, Marc (Lisa) Grimminger of Ceresco, Nebraska, and Kurt (Tonya) Grimminger of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren, James (Candy) Boehlke, Emily (J.J.) Breen, Lewis (Sarah) Muhlbach, William (Nicole) Muhlbach, Madison (Caleb) Cummins, Jordan (Clay) Grimminger, Taylor Grimminger, Zach Grimminger, Bryant Grimminger and Abigail (Alex) Araya; great grandchildren, Gunnar, Kirah, Everly, Miles, Stevie, Garrett, Oliver, Emma, Gabriel, and Violet; step family, Mark (Andrea) Sims of Grand Island and Nancy (Brian) Broich of Grand Island; step grandchildren, Niki Broich, Kylie (Tanner) Lierman, Tanner Broich, Sam Sims, Andrew Sims and Tyler Sims; step great grandchild, Jace; his siblings, Jan Rosse of Irvine, California, Sam (Kay) Grimminger of Grand Island, Kathy (Steve) Wasserburger of Gering, Nebraska, Kaaren Grimminger of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; and sister-in-law, Shirely Happold of Grand Island.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law James Rosse, brother in law Roger Happold, niece Sue Rosse, nephew J Rosse, special grandson Henry Muhlbach and stepson David Sims.
