Hastings resident, Harry D. Chrisman, 79, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Memorial service will be Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 1:30 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Private family burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings; NE. Book signing will be Wednesday, February 16, 2010 from 12 noon to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM to 7:30 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Harry was born October 23, 1931, to Frank and Lela (Nine) Chrisman in York County, NE. During his early years he helped on the family farm. In 1950 he went to work at the Navy Ammunition Depot, in Hastings, NE. He served in the United States Army from February 26, 1952 to November 25, 1953 during the Korean Conflict. After returning he resumed working for the Navel Ammunition Depot until 1957 he then started working at Dutton Lainson at the Cornhusker Press as a printer retiring in May of 1997. He married Shirley Morris on November 12, 1954 in Hastings, NE. He is survived by his wife Shirley of Hastings, NE, one daughter Angie Thomas and husband Robert of Hastings, NE and one sister Audrey Gaver of McCook, NE, two grandchildren, Summer Crosby and fianc(c)e Jason Kent and Tyson Crosby and wife Megan and one great grandson, Hayden. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Irene Dorffler. Memorials may be given to the family
