Hastings resident, Helen Glantz, 99, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Services will be Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 10:30 am at the First United Methodist Church, Hastings, NE with Rev. Sam Rathod officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Monday, April 16, 2012, from 12 noon to 9 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church, Hastings, NE. Born February 8, 1913 to Henry and Christina (Green) Glantz in Inland, NE Attended schools in Inland and graduated from Harvard High in 1930. She was involved with the family farm operations until 1952. They moved to Hastings where she was a caregiver to her mother until she passed away. She provided daycare and later spent her life caring for her sisters. She was a 50 year member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She is survived by niece Sharon and husband Donald Thomas, nephew Hank and wife Sharon Phinney, great nephews Mark and wife Connie Thomas all of Hastings, NE, and Erik and wife Molly Thomas of Lincoln, NE; great nieces Jill and husband Trenton Waite of Hastings, NE, and Holly Phinney of Omaha, NE. Three great-great nephews and four great-great nieces. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Edna and husband Ernest Phinney and Florence and husband Nick Pittz
