Illene L. Olsen

Hastings resident, Illene L. Olsen, 92, passed away, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at her home.

Services will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10:30 am at First St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home is in care of the family.

Memorials may be given to First St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Illene was born July 5, 1925 in Minden to Dewey and Anna (Johnson) Keedle. She grew up in Minden and attended Minden High School in 1943. She married Lavern Olie Olsen September 21, 1946 in Smith Center, KS. Lavern Olieand Illene purchased LL Olsen Oil Company in 1958, where Illene did the bookkeeping. She later retired in 1989 when they sold the business.

She is survived by daughter; Margaret Olsen of Hastings

She is preceded in death by: Her spouse; Lavern Olie Olsen, her parents, Daughter Jeanne Tharp, 1 brother; John Keedle and 1 sister; Mary Anna Guyer.
