Iola Mae Block

Iola Mae (Lutrell) Block, 93, died peacefully January 6, 2018, at her home in Doniphan, Nebraska.



Funeral Services will be at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the North Shore Assembly of God in Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Mel Johnson officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Doniphan Senior Center and North Shore Assembly of God in Hastings in lieu of flowers.



Mrs. Block was born on November 29, 1924, in rural Central City, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Bedie (Bell) Lutrell.



She was a Home Companion giver, enjoyed traveling, baking pies and angel food cakes, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.



Those left to cherish her include one son, Jack Culp of Texas, one daughter, Carol (Don) Staley of Doniphan, NE; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Lutrell of Henderson, NV.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Vernon Culp and Richard Block; two daughters, Donna Culp and Sheila Hatfield; two brothers, Glen Lutrell and Robert Lutrell; and granddaughter, Crystina Staley Graan.
