Irene Stewart

Hastings resident, Irene Stewart, 87, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society of Hastings.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Paul Knott officiating. There will be no book signing or visitation honoring Irenes wishes to be cremated. Burial will be in the Glenvil Cemetery.

Irene was born October 25, 1927, to Albert and Emma (Schiebe) Kamper in St. Libory, NE.

She is survived by two daughters, Ronna (Paul) Fredricks of Glenvil, NE, Melanie (Scott) Randall of Grand Island, NE; five grandchildren, Heather (Brett)Mohling of Glenvil, Nathan (Gabi) Fredricks of Lincoln, Treyton Randall of Grand Island, Taryn Randall of Grand Island, and Julie Stewart Wismer of Lincoln; four great grandchildren; and two sisters and one brother.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Joe Stewart, a son Michael Stewart, a granddaughter Jamie Stewart, and five brothers and three sisters.
