Jack E. Dowse

At Our Alberding-Wilson Location. Harvard resident, Jack E. Dowse, 65, died, Monday, July 30, 2007 at Hamilton Manor, Aurora, NE. Services will be Thursday, August 2nd, 2007, at 10:30 AM at the Harvard United Church of Christ, Harvard; NE. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2007 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mr. Dowse was born August 5, 1941 to Bradford H. and Leota M. (McKimmey) Dowse in Loup City, NE. He lived in Comstock, NE, in his earlier years. He was in the US Navy for 20 years from 1959 to 1978 as a Chief Petty Officer Engineman. He married Jane McCoy on October 31, 1986. He retired as the maintenance foreman at the Meat Animal Research Center after 27 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and he loved to fish. He is survived by his wife Jane, 1 daughter, Denise and husband Kurt Kobza of Seward, NE, 1 son, Dimitrios and wife Shelly Dowse of Douglas, Wyoming, 3 step-sons, Danny Woodward of Hastings, NE, Bradley and wife Donna Woodward of Hastings, NE and Jim and wife Kirsten Woodward of Collingswood, NJ, 1 grandson, 5 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren. 2 sisters, Susan Stett and Kristi Sedersten both of Harvard, NE. 3 brothers, Bill Dowse of Grand Island, NE, Steven Dowse of Omaha, NE and Danny Dowse of Harvard, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
