Jacqueline “Jackie” L. Burnett, 88, of Nebraska City, formerly of Grand Island died Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Ambassador Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Nebraska City.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, March 22nd at the Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Rev. Kelly Karges will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Grand Island Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity United MethodistChurch in Grand Island.
Jackie was born May 13, 1930, at Grand Island to Arthur and Velda (McAdams) Menck. She received her education attending Grand Island Senior High School.
She was united in marriage to Darold Urwiller on February 14, 1948, at Grand Island, where they would make their home.
Jackie married Bruce L. Burnett on May 6, 1966, at Grand Island. She was employed at the First National Bank until her retirement in 1976.
Jackie attended Doniphan United Methodist Church and later became a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jerry Wurtele of Nebraska City; and five grandchildren, David and wife Kim Meyers, Amy and husband Rusty Frahm, Sean Wulf, James and wife Shannan Wulf and Chris Wulf; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bruce; daughter, Nancy Temple; brother, Arthur Menck; and sister, Yvonne Shultz.
