Janet Brink

Janet I. Brink, 56 of Grand Island died Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Park Place Nursing Care Center, Grand Island.



Services will be 10:30 am Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Apfel Funeral Home, Grand Island with Derek Apfel officiating. Burial will be in Central City Cemetery, Central City, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to donors choice. There will be no visitation. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.



Janet Ilene Brink was born, June 26, 1961, in Grand Island, Nebraska the daughter of C. Alvin & Genevieve (Stander) Brink. She resided in Beatrice before attending Spcial Education classes at Connell School, completing graduate work for her diploma. In 1982, she worked through Mid Nebraska Mental Retardation Services in Grand Island, and in 2010, Integrated Life Choices.



She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.



Those left to cherish her memory include two brothers, David Brink of Dallas, Texas, Edgar Brink of Archer, Nebraska and care giver, Kay Rieken of Grand Island, along with her extended family.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin & Genevieve Brink.
