Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Friday, May 14, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Ravenna, NE with Fr. Richard Piontkowksi officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Ravenna.



Janice Purdie was born in Kearney, Nebraska on February 29, 1956 to Henry and Sylvia (Krs) Schuller. Janice grew up on a farm south of Ravenna, Nebraska. Janice graduated from Ravenna High School in 1974. Her first job was at the Law Enforcement Training Center in Grand Island, Nebraska where she lived for many years. Janice married Steve Purdie on May 25, 1996. Steve and Janice lived in Grand Island for a few years, moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and ended up settling in Grand Island.



She is survived by her husband, Steve Purdie; stepchildren, Steven, Amy, Nathan and Khristopher Purdie; brothers, Norman (Jane) Schuller, Steve Schuller, and Randy (Sara) Schuller; sisters, Linda Saunders and Deb (Tom) Fritz; brother-in-law, Ronald (Joyce) Purdie; sisters-in-law, Linda Clark, Kathy Roeder, and Jody Purdie; and many nieces and nephews.



Janice was preceded in death by parents Henry and Sylvia Schuller.
