Janie M. Lucas, 50 of Grand Island, died April 4, 2014 at her home.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 11, 2014, at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to the family.

She was born on September 10, 1963 in Sarasota, Florida to David and Jane (Bryant) Bryan. She grew up in Keystone Heights, Florida and received her education at Keystone Heights, Florida and CCPC.

She was united in marriage to Richard Lucas on November 5, 1994, in Phillips, Nebraska. The couple lived in Grand Island. Janie previously lived in Georgia and Tennessee and was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Lucas; son, Eric Lucas; daughter, Carly Lucas; mother, Jane Bryan-Anngello; 2 grandchildren, Konner Lucas and Jax Weise; brothers, Michael Bryan, Edmond Bryan, David Bryan, and Vincent Anngello; sister, Kelly Bliss; cousin like a sister, Donna Fincher; nieces, Michelle and Cheyenne Reimers; nephews, William Reimers and Timothy Anngello; great-niece, Rory Reimers; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Leon Lucas; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Ramona Lucas and Jeremy Lucas; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lucinda and Ken Canfield, Michelle and Kyle Stiedle; along with many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Janie was preceded in death by her father, David Bryan; aunts, Lucille and Opel; and uncle, SA.
