Jean Fuller M

Jean M. Fuller, 85 of Grand Island, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at CHI Health, St. Francis with her family by her side.



Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 at Apfel Funeral Home, Grand Island, with Derek Apfel CFC officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island. Visitation hours will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Apfel Funeral Home with the family receiving friends at that time. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.



Jean Maurine Fuller was born, December 2, 1929 at the family farm in Edgar, Nebraska the daughter of Earl & Beda (Roos) Larson. From a family of ten children, Jean was number eight. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Ong, Nebraska.



Upon completing her education, she was united in marriage to Jim Minor on October 15, 1946. Jim preceded her in death March 14, 1950 after a hunting accident. She then married William Wilson in 1952 with that marriage ending in divorce. On July 22, 1974 she married the love of her life, Merlin Clair Fuller. Merlin preceded her in death, July 7, 2014. She was employed at St. Francis Medical Center, Nebraska Veterans Home and the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant and later Hobart Sales & Service. She was a wonderful homemaker, loving and caring mother and grandmother. Jean and Merlin traveled extensively from coast to coast in a rebuilt 1948 Jeepster. Together they enjoyed a camping and fishing lifestyle, many times traveling with Good Sams RV/Camper Club. With all who came in contact with her, Jean will be forever remembered by her grace, dignity and compassion.



She was a member of Good Sams RV/Camper Club.



Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Luann Pokorney of Grand Island, Jim Minor of Fremont, NE. Lorettta (Bob) Dawkins of Grand Island, Jackie (Dale Jr.) Sheeks of Grand Island, Joleen Prunty of Omaha, NE, Lori Williams of Grand Island. Jeans marriage to Merlin increased her family with Colleen Rhinehart of Chesapeake, VA, Charlene Webb of Minneapolis, MN, Gene (Linda) Fuller of Grand Island, Christine (Keith) Jones of Omaha, NE and Eilleen (Bryan) Berry of Red Cloud, NE, 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, brother, Gordon Larson of Kennard, NE, sister, Doris Wilson of Grand Island and a lifelong friend, Betty (Applebee) Hald of San Diego, California, many nieces nephews and a host of friends.



She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Jim Minor and Merlin C. Fuller, a grandson, Nick Wilson, four brothers, Earnest, Ivar, Herman & Arnold Larson, three sisters, Elsa Sneith, Mabel Bowlby, Ruby Larson.
