Jennie Y. Burnham

Jennie Yvette Burnham, 76, of Hastings, NE died on January 24, 2024, at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 2:30 pm at Perkins Pavilion in Hastings with Pastor Dale Phillips officiating. Interment will be at Cowles Cemetery in Cowles, NE at a later date. There will be no visitation or viewing. Apfel Funeral Home is in care of the family.

Jennie was born on December 7, 1947, in Hastings, NE. She was a long time Eagles Club member and a former Madam President. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Red Cloud, Nebraska.

She is survived by her sons John Markland of Genoa, NE, Alex (Jenny) Perrie of Omaha, NE, Luis Johnson II of Prosser, NE, William (Ju) Johnson of Ft. Eisenhower, GA, brother James (Vicky) Perrie of Superior, NE, sisters Martha (John) Huffman of Hastings, NE, Leilonia Morgan of Nebraska City, NE, Nancy (Bob) Grams of Hastings, NE, Shirley Campfell of Hastings, NE ,and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Isabel (Thompson) Perrie III, husbands, Luis Johnson, Charles Burnham, son Jay Johnson, and daughter Peggy Burnham.
