Jeremy James Peterson

Hastings area resident Jeremy James Peterson, 35, passed away Friday September 25, 2015 at St. Francis hospital in Grand Island, NE.



Services will be Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 10:30 am at the Faith Lutheran Church, Hastings with Rev. Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30 from 5 to 7 with family present at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings.



Memorials may be given to the family.



Jeremy Peterson was born on April 6, 1980 in Hastings, Nebraska to Latishia (Weaver) Campbell and the late David Peterson. Jeremy lived in Hastings and then moved to Roseland, NE and lived with his Mom and Dad Michael Campbell on their farm by Roseland while growing up and attending Silver Lake schools. Jeremy then moved back to Hastings and attended Hastings High school. After school Jeremy went on to work at several jobs while finding construction and remodeling houses to his liking. Jeremy received his electrical license and worked for several electrical companies over the years. He loved working with his hands whether it be with his electronics or building something special to him or for others. Jeremy spent his life from the time he was a child to growing up fascinated by trains. Jeremys biggest passion was how he loved his Nebraska Cornhuskers like no other. You would always see him in his Husker gear.



In honor of his love for the Huskers the family is asking you to wear casual Husker attire while attending the funeral. Jeremy loved his electronics, going fishing, camping, and being outdoors with his family and friends and hopping around the country.



Jeremy is survived by his mother and father Latishia and Michael Campbell of Roseland, NE, Daughter Jasmyn Gravitt of Hardy, NE, Two sisters Trista Peterson and friend Jim Williams of Hastings, NE and Erica Campbell and friend Andy Wilson of Chelsea, OK, Brother Joe Budd Tucson, AZ, Grandparents Wanda Koch and special friend Harlan Schlachter of Hansen, NE and Loren Campbell of Hastings, NE

Niece Bailey Campbell of Chelsea, OK, Many very special Aunts and Uncles and many special cousins including his partner in crime many times Tyler Peterson



Jeremy was preceded in death by his father David Peterson, two brothers Todd Campbell and James Peterson, grandparents Donald Koch and Margaret Campbell and Marion and Dorothy Peterson.
