Jerry A. Reinhardt, 66, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Homestead Rehabilitation in Lincoln, NE.
A celebration of Jerrys life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the Cairo United Methodist Church. The Rev. Scott Evans will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Grand Island with military honors provided by the United Veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Honors team. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
The family will greet friends on Friday, January 22nd from 5 to 7 PM at the Cairo United Methodist Church. Casual dress is requested.

Jerry was born March 5, 1949 to Alex and Viola (Lierman) Reinhardt in Grand Island, NE.
He attended grade school near Wood River, and graduated from Cairo High School in 1967.
He enlisted in the US Army in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1970.
Jerry married Deanna Stewart in 1971. He lived in Grand Island, Phillips, and Cairo. From 1970 to 1978 Jerry worked at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Island. In 1978, the family moved to Cairo to farm ground his parents had farmed for many years. In 2003, Jerry was married to Annette Reinhardt. In recent years, he worked for the Hall County Roads Department until August 2015. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.
Jerry suffered a stroke in August of 2015. He spent his remaining time at Madonna Rehabilitation and Homestead Rehabilitation in Lincoln. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.
Survivors include a daughter and son in-law, Cindie and Brad Jisa of Lincoln; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Ann Reinhardt of Denton; grandchildren, Austin Jisa, and Tyler and Reese Reinhardt; a brother, Jim Reinhardt of Grand Island; a nephew and a niece, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Scott Baird Reinhardt.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
