Harvard resident, Jimmy Jim Flower Sr, 63, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare.

Services will be Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 2 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings with Ron Martin officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in care of the family. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com.

Memorials may be given to the family.

Jim was born July 27, 1954 to Vernon and Ramona (Smith) Flower in Marysville, KS. He attended school at Valley Heights in Blue Rapids, KS. Jim lived most of his life in Nebraska. He married Sheryl Feik on July 30, 2016 in Hastings, NE. He worked as a Welder/Grinder and heavy equipment operator at Spitz Foundry in Hastings.

Jim enjoyed motorcycles. In his leisure time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as his grandchildren. Jim had a huge heart and would give anything to anyone.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl of Harvard, 3 sons, Zacoria Flower of Harvard, Jimmy Flower Jr (Jenifer) of Blue Rapids, KS and Jeff Flower of Salem, OR, four daughters, Cynthia (Perry) Vansyckle of Hastings, Nicole Jenkins (Courtney) of Doniphan, Kristen (Joe) Mensah of Lincoln and April Feik and James Delgado of Hastings, 9 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, one brother, Francis Flower of Wichita, KS, two sisters, Dottie Oatney Cardoza Kansas City, MO and Verna Foley of Beattie, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard King and Crys (Ginger) Flower.
