Joan Myrtle Graybill, 69, of Hastings, NE died Friday, May 4, 2018, at her home. Funeral service will be 11: 00 AM Monday, May 7, 2018, at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Derek J. Apfel CFC officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Cemetery, Bertrand, NE. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday.
Joan was born on November 5, 1948, in Loup City, NE, to Teddy M. and Myrtle Alice (Meinke) Reimers. She grew up in Loup City and received her education at Grand Island Senior High School. She was raised with a Lutheran background and was confirmed at Christ Evangelical Lutheran School. She was united in marriage to Bruce Goehring and the couple lived in North Platte. After they divorced, she lived in Central City when she married Dr. Frederick Hanson. She was widowed. On December 2, 2016, she was united in marriage to Richard Charles Graybill in Hastings, NE. After which they lived their happy life. She enjoyed her love of Christ, her family, and her dog Annabelle.
Survivors include: husband Richard Graybill Sr.; children, Christi (Ken) Christensen of North Platte, Heather (Richard) Watson of Superior, and Jason (Tiffany) Hanson of Elm Creek; step-children, Carl Hanson, Paul (Robin) Hanson, Laurie Hanson, Teresa Ganderton and Richard Graybill Jr.; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Judy Wrehe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Bruce Goehring, second husband Dr. Frederick Hanson, sister Joyce Thomsen, and brothers-in-law, LaVern Thomsen, Donald Wrehe, and Donald Hanson.
