John E. Erickson Sr.

Hastings resident John E. Erickson Sr, 56 of 2207 West 7th Street died, Saturday, November 4, 2006 at his home. Services will be, Thursday, November 9th at 2 PM at All Saints Chapel, G.S.V., Hastings, NE with Rev. Tony Anderson officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 10 AM to 9 PM, Wednesday, November 8, 2006, 8 AM to 9 PM and Thursday, November 9, 2006 8 AM to 12 noon at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and one hour before service time at All Saints Chapel, G.S.V. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brandwilson.com. Mr. Erickson was born, August 3, 1950 to Terence and Dorothy (Gerard) Erickson in Hebron, NE. He graduated from Hastings Senior High School in 1968. He worked at Papa Rays Pizza during high school; he then worked at the Hastings Tribune before serving in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He then worked at Gibraltar Packaging from 1971 till his death. He has been a Hastings resident since 1962. He attended the North Shore Assembly of God and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by, wife Linda, 1 daughter, Jacqueline Erickson, 2 sons, Johnathan and James all of Hastings, His parents, Terence and Dorothy Erickson of Hastings, Nieces, Sara Weber, and Tammi Jacobsen, nephews, Jeremy Johnson, and Jason Sipes all of Hastings, and many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by, 1 brother Tom, and Father-In-Law, Jack Thomas. Memorials may be given to familys choice.
