John L. Black

Hastings resident, John L. Black, 55, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Hastings.

Services will be Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:30 am at Peace Lutheran Church, Hastings with Rev. Marcus Mackay officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfel.com. Apfel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church, Hastings.

John was born January 20, 1961 to Bruce and Mary Ann (Graue) Black in Hastings.

He graduated from Hastings High School in 1981.

He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Mary Ann Black of Hastings, and two brothers, James L. Black of Hastings and Jerry (Deb) L. Black of Racine, Wisconsin, nieces and nephews, Mandy (Matt), Sarah, Connor, Killian and Zaida and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Gladys Black and Henry and Anita Graue.
