Jolene Rae Drake

Jolene R. Drake, 66, of Grand Island, NE died on February 26, 2024, at her home. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Kenesaw Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born on July 29, 1957, at Beatrice, NE to Roland and Eldeen (Riese) Drake. She grew up in Beatrice, NE, and graduated from Kearney High School in 1975. She spent her working career as an Engineer for the Burlington Northern Railroad. Jolene was also sober for 20 plus years.

Jolene is survived by two brothers: Whitney and Courtney Drake; and sister, Shirley (David) Carpenter.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 Jolene would like to thank Bob and Amy Fahnstalk family for their continued support throughout Jolene’s life.
