Justin A. Davenport

Justin A. Davenport, 34 of Grand Island died Sunday, November 5, 2017, at his home.

Services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m. November 13, 2017, at Third City Christian Church, Grand Island, with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Visitation hours will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2017, at the church. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery. The family requests no floral tributes, memorial contributions are suggested towards scholarship funds for their two children. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Justin Adam Davenport was born January 30, 1983, at Fort Scott, Kansas the son of James & Helen (Crays) Davenport. He grew up and received his education in Aurora, graduating from Aurora High School with the class of 2001. He received his Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Wayne State College, Wayne, NE.

He was united in marriage to Lyndi Rouzee, May 25, 2013, in Grand Island, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Grand Island where Justin was currently employed as a Salesman for Petersen Ag Systems and formerly with Global Industries for the last 12 years.

He was a member of Third City Christian Church, Grand Island.

He loved golfing and long drive competitions, Ford Mustangs and spending time with his wife and children.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lyndi Davenport of Grand Island, son, Jace Davenport & daughter, Hailyn Davenport both at home, his parents, James & Helen Davenport of Aurora, his in-laws, Dave and Diane Rouzee of Grand Island, brother-in-law, Zach Rouzee of Grand Island, and sister-in-law, Jenna and husband Mitch Jones and their daughter Remi of Bennet, uncles and aunts; William Joseph and Dorothy Davenport, Kenneth Lee and Leah Davenport, Gary Edward and Carol June Davenport and Betty Duvall, as well as numerous cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason, paternal grandparents, William Arthur Davenport & Doris Isabelle Davenport, maternal grandparents, Harold I. Crays & Audrey M. Crays, and uncles and aunts; Dwayne and Joane Davenport, Harold and Dorothy Crays and Gene DuVall.
