Hastings resident, Karl Emil Baehr, 81, died Monday, July 9, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion, GSV. Service will be Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Robert Harms officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2007 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service and 1 hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Karl Emil Baehr was born May 10, 1926 to Emil and Katherine (Lenhart) Baehr in Hastings, NE. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1944 and was engaged in farming and mechanics. On Aug 28, 1949 he married LaVerda Krueger at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Hill, NE. He was a lifelong resident of Hanover township, Adams County where he served on the District 75 schoolboard and the township board. He was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE. He is survived by his wife, LaVerda of Hastings, 1 daughter Beverly Andersen and husband Tom of Blair, NE. 2 sons, Alan Baehr of Hickman, NE and Warren Baehr and wife Mary of Holt, MO. 6 grandchildren, Shauna Mullally and boyfriend Angel Salazar of Chicago, IL, Rory Mullally and wife Mikki of Blair, NE, David Baehr, Alicia Baehr, Christine Baehr and Mark Baehr all of Holt, MO. 3 step-grandchildren, Brad Andersen, and wife Jane, Gary Andersen and fianc(c)e Abranda and Abbi Andersen all of Blair, NE, 1 step great grandson, Alexander also of Blair, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be given to the Lutheran Hour Ministries or the Zion Lutheran Church.
