Karla Kaye Kusek

Hastings resident, Karla Kaye Kusek, 50, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at her home.



Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10 am at St. Anns Catholic Church in Doniphan with Father Joseph Faulkner officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 4 to 7 pm with a rosary following at St. Anns Catholic Church, Doniphan. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements. A memorial will be established in Karlas name.



Karla was born May 30, 1965 to Edward M. and Jeannie (Aldrich) Kula in Woodland Hills, CA. She received her masters degree in nursing administration. She married David Kusek on January 12, 2000. She worked as a Nurse MSN at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.



She was a member of St. Anns Catholic Church, Doniphan and was on the St. Anns Altar Society. She was a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters in Hastings, Team Mates in Doniphan-Trumbull, the Doniphan -Trumbull Booster Club and the Nebraska Right to Life.



She enjoyed being with family and friends.



She is survived by her husband David of Hastings, 4 children, Kyle Kloke, Kenzie Kloke, Katie Kloke and Kelsey Kusek all of Hastings, her mother Jeannie Kula of Fullerton, one brother, Kevin Kula of Kearney and one sister, Sheila Ammons and husband Kevin of Olympia, WA and many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her father.
