Kelly "Shane" Lauenstein

Kelly “Shane” Lauenstein, 49, of Hastings, NE died on August 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.



A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.



He was born on April 20, 1973 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jerry and Tina Lauenstein.



He was united in marriage to Mary Hotz on October 14, 2000 in Hastings, NE. After which the family lived in Hastings where he worked for Middleton Electric. Before Hastings, Shane lived in Cozad.



He is survived by his wife, Mary Lauenstein; son, Joseph Lauenstein; daughters, Hollye and Megan Lauenstein; granddaughter, Zoe Lauenstein; parents, Jerry and Tina Lauenstein; brothers, Steven and Justin Lauenstein; grandmother, Joann Gray; father-in-law, Clarence Hotz nieces and nephews: Ann-Marie and Brendon Soto; and great niece, Carmella Soto.



He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jewel and Clarence Lauenstein; maternal grandpa, Charles Pickels; and mother-in-law, Darlene Hotz.
