Kurt Alan Weseman

Hastings resident, Kurt Alan Weseman, 40, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Mary Lanning Memorial Health Care, Hastings, NE following his battle with esophageal cancer. Services will be Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE with Rev. Paul Warneke officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings; NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 16, 2010 from 12 noon to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM from 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Kurt was born July 18, 1970 to Dale and Bobbie Jo (Russell) Weseman in Hastings, NE. He graduated from the Hastings High School in 1988. He attended the Bellevue College in Omaha, NE and received his bachelor degree. He worked at Valentinos Pizza for 20 years, H&R Block for 13 years and the Hastings Regional Center the past year where he was the food service leader. He married Patricia (Tricia) Albers on June 27, 1998. Kurt resided in Hastings. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE. Kurt will be remembered by his family and friends as a dependable, compassionate and respectable individual as well as devoted to his family. .He was a huge Husker fan and enjoyed attending games. He enjoyed family camping trips and traveling. He was a beloved, brother, son, uncle, great uncle, husband and father. He is survived by his wife Tricia and two children, Tyler and Lizabeth all of Hastings, one sister Debbie Snell and husband Andy of Oxford, NE one brother Kelly Weseman of Hastings, NE, four nieces, two nephews, one great niece and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Bobbie Jo Weseman. Memorials may be given to the family.
