Lance L. Klanecky, 56, of Grand Island, NE died on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at home. 

Graveside services for Lance will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul, Nebraska with Dr. Christopher Murray officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. 

Lance was born on March 19, 1968 in Grand Island, NE to Lewis and Irene (Brengelman) Klanecky. He grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High before going on to attend the University of Nebraska – Kearney. 

He was united in marriage to Peggy Lynn Klanecky on December 31, 2000 at the Calvery Lutheran Church in Grand Island. The couple was blessed to live in several different places but settled in Chapman, NE. 

He was a member of the Hebrew congregation in Grand Island.

He enjoyed traveling, reading, learning, having deep conversations with his friends, cooking, swimming, sharing his faith, firearms, dogs, and life. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Peggy Lynn Klanecky; stepson, Stephen (Ezarah) Coates; grandchildren, Chaiya, Zephaniah and Isiah; mother, Irene Klanecky; siblings, Al Klanecky, and Susan (Arturo) Kosmicki-Rodriguez; and brother-in-law, Mike (Anna) McKenzie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Klanecky.
