Larena Justa

(At Our Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard Location.) Harvard resident, Larena (Rolfsmeier) Justa, 73 died of cancer Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Anna Sunderman Nursing Home, Seward, NE. Services will be Friday, December 1, 2006, 10:30 AM, at the United Church of Christ in Harvard, NE with the Rev. Stan Crawford presiding. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, November 30, 2006 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home in Harvard. Mrs. Justa was born April 24, 1933, to Ben and Laura (Meyer) Rolfsmeier in Seward, NE. She married Carl Justa at St. John's Lutheran Church in Seward on August 12, 1956. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. Together they farmed south of Friend, NE for 7 years before moving to Harvard where they continued farming and also opened up a hardware store. After 13 years of farming they moved to town and purchased a second business, a restaurant/bar (Char-Bar) which they ran for 27 years. She retired after 27 years as a business owner in Harvard but continued doing bookkeeping work for the family farm located in Seward. She is survived by her husband Carl of Harvard, 3 sons, Steve of Harvard, David of Dorchester, Jim & wife Becky of Lincoln, granddaughters Brittany and Maddison Justa of Lincoln, Whitney Bieck of Lincoln, brother Ben Rolfsmeier Jr., of Seward. She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Rolfsmeier and mother Laura (Meyer) Rolfsmeier. Memorials may be given to the family.
