Larry E. Hescock

Larry Edward Hescock, 71 of Fairfield, Nebraska passed away on December 16, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings surrounded by his family.



Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday December 20th, 2018 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island, Nebraska. Elder Jeff Hayman of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints will officiate.



Larry was born in Brattleboro, Vermont, July 22,1947 the son of Ralph Edward and Imogene Pearl (Liebhart) Hescock.



He was a veteran of the Vietnam era, serving in the Army from 1966-1971. He received an Honorable discharge and worked as a mechanic until his retirement.



Larry was an avid pool player. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his Harleys, and western books and movies.



Family was very important to him.



He is survived by his mother and step-father, Imogene and Ted George of Grand Island: three sisters, Patricia Stillinger of Omaha, Vicki and Chuck Kopystynsky, of Omaha and Janelle and Danny Dubbs of Grand Island; one brother, David and Judy Hescock, of Harvard, NE. His daughter, Jennifer Hescock of Grand Island; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.



Larry was preceded in death by his father Ralph Edward Hescock and his daughter Laura Marie Helms. Memorials are suggested to the family.
