At our Kenesaw, NE Location, Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home. Kenesaw resident ,Lavern E. Fischer 79, died Tuesday May 26, 2009 at Haven Home in Kenesaw, Ne. Services at 10:30 A.M. on Friday May 29, 2009 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kenesaw with the Rev. Paul Duffy officating. Burial will be in Kenesaw Cemetery in Kenesaw. Visitation is 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home in Kenesaw and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials go to family choices. Lavern was born May 20, 1930 to Ervin S. and Ida (Sinsel) Fischer in Heartwell. He went to the 8 grade school in Shilo District 38. He went into the Army in May, 1951 and out in May 1953. He spent his time in the Army in Alaska doing heavy tanks and machinery. He married Ramona K Norgaard on June 26, 1955 in Minden. They lived in north Minden for 2 years before moving to Kenesaw. While in Minden he worked for Miller Drilling wells & plumbing until 1956, he became self employed for 35 years before retiring. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Dept. in Kenesaw for many years. He is survived by his wife Ramona and two daughters: Katherine (Darrell) Parker of Fairbury and Karen (Lloyd) Muhle of Hastings. 3-Grandchildren, 3-Step-Grandchildren, 1 Great Granddaughter,5-Step-Great-Grandchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Merlin Fischer.
