Hastings Resident, LaVone Warren, 81, of 735 Barnes, died Monday, September 11, 2006 at the College View, Hastings, NE. Services will be Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 10:30 at the Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13, 2006 from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family present from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mrs. Warren was born August 27, 1925 to Harold and Sadie (Schneider) McAtee in Minden, NE. She married Frank J. Colter on June 26, 1946. She married William J. Warren, February 28, 1973 in Hastings, NE, he died August 30, 2005. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the Koffee Klatch Klub, the A.A.R.P., the U.C.T., the Eagles Aerie 592, Sams Camping Club and the NARFE. She is survived by, daughter, Sandra L. Brown of Hastings, NE, son, Steven D. Colter of Bertrand, NE, 2 step-daughters, Kathleen Quinn of Davenport, Iowa, and Clarice Thompson of Winnemucca, NV, 2 step-sons, Clark Warren of Pahrump, NV and Herbert Warren of Fort Collins, CO. 6 Grandchildren, 11 Step-Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren and 13 Step-Grandchildren. 1 sister, Retta Andrews of Grand Island, NE. She is preceded in death by both husbands, and her parents. Memorials may be given to the Grace United Methodist Church or the Adams County Cancer Society.
