Lawrence D. Myers

Hastings resident, Lawrence D. Myers, 92, of 500 South Boston, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, NE. Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at 2 PM at Sunset Memorials Gardens, Hastings, NE, with the Rev. Judith Allen officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 26, 2006 from 9 AM to 5PM and Tuesday, May 30, 2006 till service time at the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mr. Myers was born August 22, 1913 to Francis and Ida (Sturn) Myers in Hastings, NE. He married Doris Thayer in 1932 in Hastings, NE they divorced in 1967. Then he married May DeMoulin in 1969. She preceded him in death November 1983. He worked in the lumber industry in Portland, Oregon during his early years then he moved back to Hastings to work with his brother at Myers Refrigeration. He then worked for Western Land Roller till retirement. He is survived by 3 sons, Davey Myers of New Port, Oregon, Danny Myers of LasVegas, NV and Jerry Myers of Winston, Oregon. 1 daughter, Delores Sutherland of New Port, Oregon, 4 step-daughters, Deb Bydalek, of Hastings, NE, Shirley Cook of Lincoln, NE, Donna Kuhn of Lincoln, NE and Betty Heuermann of Kansas City, MO. 16 Grandchildren and 12 Step-Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Step Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by, his parents, 2 brothers including his twin brother Lyle and 2 sisters. Memorials may be given to the family.
