Leander Wayne Jensen

Hastings resident, Leander Wayne Ole Jensen, 88, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Grand Island Veterans Home, Grand Island, NE. There will be no service or visitation his body was cremated. Private family burial will be at a later date. Arrangements by the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Ole was born October 26, 1922 to Chris and Katherine (Fox) Jensen in Hastings, NE. He served in the United States Navy during WWII from December 11, 1942 to November 27, 1945. He married Lucille Buss in 1946, she passed away in 2002. He lived in Hastings all his life. He owned Jensens Auto Body for 15 years retiring in 1987. He is survived by 2 sons, Rod Jensen of Hastings, NE and Greg Jensen of Kearney, NE, 1 daughter, Sandra Hathaway of Grand Island, NE, 1 granddaughter, Ashley Garver of Omaha, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille and 1 sister and 1 brother. Memorials may be given to the family.
