Roseland resident, Leonard A. Parr, died Monday, August 13, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings; NE. Rosary will be Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 7:30 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roseland, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 17, 2007 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Roseland, NE with Father Thomas Au officiating. Burial will be in the Assumption Cemetery, Assumption, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, 2007 from 5 PM to 9 PM and Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hastings, NE and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mr. Parr was born March 26, 1923, to Joseph and Mary (Siren) Parr in Roseland, NE. He married Geraldine Loskill, February 15, 1944. He farmed near Roseland and then worked for the Village of Roseland in Village Maintenance for 10 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the Sacred Heart Parish Council, in Roseland, NE. He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, the Roseland Volunteer Fire Department, the Roseland School Board, and the Roseland Co-op Grain and Supply Board. He is survived by, his wife Geraldine Parr of Hastings, 3 daughters, Ardyce Zubrod and husband Brian, Cheryl Sidlo and husband Ron, all of Roseland, NE, and Deanna Lakey and husband John of Kearney, NE. 1 son, Terry Parr and wife Carol of Roseland, NE. 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Lynn Parr, 2 infant children, 5 brothers, Peter, Frances, Lawrence, Harold, and Norbert (Shorty), 2 sisters, Christina Pitz, and Coleta Hemberger. Memorials may be given to the Sacred Heart Church, in Roseland, NE or the Assumption Cemetery, Assumption, NE.
