Leslie O. Brundage

Leslie Brundage, 95, of Grand Island and long time resident of Cairo died February 3, 2016. Services will be Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11 AM at Apfel Funeral Home in Cairo with Rev. Cathryn Love officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Leslie O. Brundage was born July 23, 1920 to Clarence and Bertha Brundage at Cairo. He grew up in Cairo and moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1940 and returned to Cairo in 1944 until moving to Grand Island in December of 2015. He was employed by Douglas Aircraft and later the Hall County Highway Department for 32 years, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Marlene Brundage; daughters, Joy Wenzl and Jean Ann (James) Bernth; as well as six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Richard and Leslie Brundage; a sister, Lola Learn and brothers, Leonard Brundage, Dale Brundage and Merle Brundage.
