Lester M. Nylander

Former Hastings resident, Lester M. Nylander, 89 passed away, Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Kenesaw Haven Home, Kenesaw, NE. There will be no services or visitation. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Lester was born August 30, 1921 to Otto William and Hannah (Schonover) Nylander in Oakland, NE. He served in the United States Navy from December 4, 1943 to January 4, 1947. He married Laverna May Gunn on April 26, 1947. He has lived in the Hastings area since 1993 coming from Rockport, MO. He was a machinist and retired from Vickers in Omaha, NE. He was a member of the VFW in Hastings, NE. He is survived by his wife Laverna of Kenesaw, NE, and two sons, James L. Nylander of Barco, North Carolina, and John C. Nylander of Hastings, NE, two granddaughters and two grandsons and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters and one brothers. Memorials may be given to the family.
