Linda L. Longoria

December 31, 1962 — March 23, 2015

Harvard resident, Linda L. Longoria, 52, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at Saint Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, NE.



Memorial services will be 11 am, Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Harvard High School, Harvard, NE with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, NE at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday, March 26th from 4 pm to 8 pm and Friday, March 27th from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home in Harvard. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Harvard is in charge of the arrangements.



The family request people wear bright colors to the funeral, Linda enjoyed bright colors.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.



Linda was born December 31, 1962, in Ft. Campbell, KY, the daughter of Alvin and Neva (Larson) Gerard. She graduated from the Sutton High School in 1982. She married Roy Longoria on January 14, 1983 in Clay Center, NE. The couple lived in Harvard where Linda worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier.



She enjoyed vacations doing various crafts, sporting events, the Huskers and the Cowboys. She enjoyed making people smile, she loved Thanksgivings with her entire family and supporting her children.



She is survived by her husband, Roy of Harvard, son, Christopher (Sarah) of Assumption and two daughters, Selena Longoria (Ben Meyer) of Hastings, and Paisley of Harvard, three grandchildren, Brogan and Neiah Longoria of Assumption and Jarett Meyer of Lincoln, her parents, Neva and Richard Gerard of Lexington, five brothers, Nathan Larson of Lexington, Darrell (Ruth) Larson, Scott Larson, John Larson all of Hastings and Butch Gerard of Lexington, a sister, Carmen (Donald) Freeland of Lexington, mother-in-law, Maria Longoria of Harvard, as well as numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.



She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Larson, brother, Bill Larson and grandparents, Floyd and Martha Wallace.
