Lois J. Houp

Hastings resident, Lois Jean Houp, 83, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village.



Memorial service will be Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10 am at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Volzke officiating. There will be no visitation; Loiss wishes were to be cremated. Burial will be at a later date in the Concordia Cemetery, Juniata. Apfel Funeral Home is serving the family. Condolences may be sent to www.apfelfuneralhome.com.

Lois was born December 13, 1930 to Herbert L. and Ella (Schroeder) Royston in Juniata, NE. She attended Juniata schools and graduated in 1947. She married Joseph Houp on November 1, 1960 in Hastings, Joseph passed away February 20, 1973.



She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Juniata. She loved to work in her garden, embroider and her dog. She will be missed.



She is survived by one sister, Delores Young of Arlington, TX and a niece and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Joseph.
