Lorrie Irene Lassonde

Lorraine Lassonde (Lorrie), 63, of Grand Island, NE died on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. A Memorial Service will be at 10 A.M. on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Apfel Funeral Home with Pastor Darrel Holzinger officiating. Burial will follow at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Lorrie was born on September 27, 1960, in Burbank, California to Ray and MarLea Lassonde. She was then raised in Grand Island, NE. 

She was united in marriage to James Lee on February 12, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV. After which the couple traveled between Las Vegas and Grand Island. Music influenced Lorrie’s life greatly and was reflected in her love of playing the piano. Lorrie also loved spending time with her granddaughters. 

Lorrie is survived by her husband, James Lee; son, Christopher (Jennifer) Lassonde; and granddaughters: Kayla Shipps, Holley Lassonde, and Olivia Lassonde. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Walter Lassonde; and in-laws: Patrick and Sandra Lee.
