Loren William Niemack, 80, of Shelton, died July 24, 2018, in Yellowstone National Park. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelton. The Rev. Pastor Ron Krause will officiate. Burial will be at the Shelton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday at the church. Loren was born on August 13, 1937, in Shelton, NE, to William “Bill” and Bertha (Hehner) Niemack. He grew up in rural Shelton and attended rural school until the 8th grade. Loren graduated from Shelton High School in 1955. He was a member of the Army Reserves after high school.
On June 19, 1960, Loren married his high school sweetheart Claire “Joyce” Coleman at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelton. Loren loved farming and working with livestock. He farmed with his brothers for over 45 years. Loren served the St. Paul Lutheran Church as a church officer and elder.
Loren loved life and his family. He enjoyed going on many family trips to National Parks and Alaska and seeing the joy on his families faces during these trips. He liked all Husker sports especially baseball, volleyball, and football.
Loren is survived by daughters; Lori (Randy) Rech of Lincoln, NE, Michelle Choplin of Shelton, NE; grandchildren: Kent Stejskal of Kansas City, MO, Makayla and Madison Choplin of Shelton, step-grandchildren: Branden (Cassie) Rech of Ashland, NE, Amber (Curt) Hobscheidt of Olathe, KS; step-great-grandchildren: Halle, Kenna, Lennyn Rech, and Hendryx Hobscheidt; sister: Lois (Bruce) Muhlbach of Ravenna, NE; brother: Marvin (Gail) Niemack of Shelton, NE; sisters-in-law: Donna Niemack of Kearney, NE, Judy Vieselmeyer of Lincoln, NE, Judi Carpenter of North Platte, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce in 2014, parents, brothers: Rodney and Larry Niemack; sister-in-law Janet (Coleman) Pember Kruger; brothers-in-law: Bob Kruger, Darrell Carpenter; nieces: Carol Niemack, Deborah (Jon) Ball; and great-niece: Celeste Webben.
