Lorraine M. Graham, 88, of Kearney, Nebraska died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Keens Memorial in Kearney.
Memorial services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., July 3, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 504 B. Street, Shelton, Nebraska with the Father Jorge Canela officiating. Inunrment will be in Wood River Cemetery, Wood River. Visitation hours will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the church. A Rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.
Lorraine Graham was born November 19, 1928 in Plainview, Nebraska the daughter of Karl & Caroline (Johnson) Horst. She grew up in Plainview Nebraska graduating from Plainview High School.
She was united in marriage to Glenn Graham on November 14, 1953 in San Diego, California. The couple resided in Pueblo, Colorado, later moving to Gibbon, Nebraska where they owned Gibbon Caf and the Alda Truck Stop. She was also employed by the Eaton Corporation.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Shelton. She loved to cook and was well known for her delicious cinnamon rolls. She also found great joy in painting, bowling, sewing, playing the organ and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include, three sons, Bruce Graham of Kearney, Todd (Janet) Graham of Shelton, Jason Graham & fianc Crystal Bernard of Hastings, NE, two daughters, Stephanie Jorgensen & fianc Dave French of Axtel, Jill & Kevin Hertel of Gibbon, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren,2 great great grandchildren, brother & sister-in-law, Lyle Horst & Delores of Plainview, sister & brother-in-law, Leota & Richard Elwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl & Caroline Horst, husband, Glenn, and grandparents.
