Lucas B. Adams

Lucas Adams, 28, of Cairo, NE died on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at his home in Cairo.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Rev. Bev Hieb officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cairo. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. 

Lucas was born on March 17, 1995 in Grand Island, NE to Brad and Nancy (Schaer) Adams. He grew up in Cairo and received his education from Centura Public Schools. 

He enjoyed fishing, playing video games with Taiten, playing cornhole, and everything sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins and the Oregan Ducks. 

He is survived by his parents, Brad and Nancy Adams; sister, Lindsay (Josh) Suchanek and their son Knox; paternal grandparents, Roger and Shirley Adams; bonus family member, Taiten Ritchie; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Patricia Schaer and Marvin Schaer, and two aunts, Peggy Machmuller and Linda Schaer.
