Hastings resident, Lucille C. Faber, 93, passed away September 27, 2015 at St. Johns. Good Samaritan Society, Kearney, NE.

Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday September 30, 2015 at 10:30 at the St. Micheals Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Michael Houihan officiating. Rosary will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 7 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings. Visitation will be from 5 pm up till rosary time with family present after 6 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimers Association or the Make A Wish Foundation.

Lucille was born May 29, 1922 in Juniata, NE to George M. and Anna M. (Consbruck) Gentert. She attended the Roseland High School and graduated in 1940. She married Donald J Faber on July 24, 1945 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland, NE, Donald passed away October 1, 1962.

She was a homemaker, and worked at Central Supply at Mary Lanning Hospital, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church and Altar Society in Hastings. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She liked to cook and bake and she prepared many wonderful meals for family gatherings and holidays. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching movies, scrapbooking, picture albums and family history.

Lucille is survived by one son, Larry Faber of Kearney, NE, four daughters, Sandra (Dennis) Day of Gibbon, Cheryl (Dennis) Blinde of Kearney, Patty (Leonard) Eckhardt and Donna (Graham) Aryiss all of Lincoln, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, one sister, Darlene (Donald) Juranek of Lincoln, many nieces and nephews, three sister-in-laws, Marge Faber, Phyllis Faber and Arlene Jones all of Hastings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, an infant daughter, Nancy, three brothers, Harold, Gerald and Robert and one sister, Irene LHeureux.
