At our Alberding-Wilson Location in Harvard, NE. Harvard resident, Lucille Faye (Ljunggren) Housel, 90, passed away Monday, January 21, 2008, at the Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE. Service will be Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the United Church Of Christ in Harvard, NE with the Rev. Stan Crawford officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE and up till service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Lucille was born July 21, 1917 to Rudolf and Ida (Bieck) Ljunggren at her parents farm near Harvard, NE. She graduated from Giltner High School in 1934. On February 9, 1942 she married Byron P. Housel in Mankato, KS. She was a faithful member of the Harvard Womans Club and on the Board of Directors of Harvard Housing, Inc. Lucille was an avid reader and at times worked at the Harvard Library. Lucille is survived by her 3 brothers, Lester and wife Laura Ljunggren, Lloyd and wife Bertha Ljunggren all of Harvard, NE, and Donald and wife Shirley Ljunggren of Dell Rapids, SD, 17 nieces and nephews, 37 grand nieces and nephews, and 27 great grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Byron, as well as 1 nephew and 4 grand nieces and grand nephews. Memorials may be given to the UCC Church, Hospice or the Harvard Rest Home or the Harvard Public Library.
